Keiner darf für sich den Besitz der Wahrheit beanspruchen, sonst wäre er unfähig zum Kompromiß und über­haupt zum Zusammenleben; er würde kein Mitbürger, sondern ein Tyrann. Wer das Mehrheitsprinzip auflösen und durch die Herr­schaft der absoluten Wahrheit ersetzen will, der löst die freiheitliche Demokratie auf.

Calendula - also called pot marigold, having the scientific name calendula officinalis - and indeed it was the "pot marigold" that intrigued me.

Therefore I went for a research and found out that the young leaves of the calendula plant once were used to cook stews and more, but I could not find any recipes. Therefore I am developing my own recipes and really: it tastes great.

Yeah, I got a new kitchen machine. Also this time I thought for a long time whether I should afford this bread baking machine ... my decision depends mostly on saving time and money and "from when does the machine pay off". I chose a German brand "Rommelsbacher Brotbackaut BA 550" and, since everything is closed, I bought it on Ebay. Afterwards I remembered that I could have called the company ... but ok - it was too late. (Normally I do that)

Sourdough Starter from Scratch ... my way :-)

Day 1
Add 1 espresso cup of flour and 1 espresso cup of water in a glass or cup. Stir well with a wooden spoon.

Take a bit of old yeast, no matter if dehydrated or fresh. Add 200 ml of water in a bowl and dissolve the yeast in the water. Add two teaspoons of honey or sugar. Add 200 g of flour bit by bit. Stir well while adding the flour. Let it grow.
